WEAPONS SHOP HEAD - Billet No. 24-3800-01
Job Description:
The Weapons Shop Head supervisors, assigns, schedules, inspects, reviews and oversees, through subordinate supervisory personnel, all activities of the weapons systems shop utilizing knowledge of department function, standards, practices and RSNF policies. Assigns or delegates responsibilities for specific shop functional activities, ensures compliance with established safety standards to prevent injury to personnel or damage to equipment. Prepares management reports and records.
The incumbent should be able to impart to PSNF designated personnel the unique characteristics of the position.
Education and Experience
Associate degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or a high school diploma with extensive military or industrial training in weapons systems maintenance and repair and completion of an apprenticeship in electronics or weapons systems
Twelve (12) years military or industrial experience in the Shipboard Electronics Combat Control Systems or Shipboard Weapons Specialties Fields. At a minimum, five (5) years of the twelve (12) years experience requirement should be at the supervisor or foreman level and at least four (4) years shall have been at an industrial type activity. Combat system alignment experience is desired.
Security Clearance:
U.S. confidential security clearance level will need to be obtained
Salary range:
40,000 to 50,000 (exempt to IRS limitations)
