Description:
Alsalam Aircraft Company - currently has a contract with the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) to provide F-15 support. We provide Technical Support to all bases. Our task is to train, assist, and actively advise the RSAF in the accomplishment of Organizational and Intermediate Level maintenance. This training is accomplished using a combination of English language training (basic and technical terminology), formal classroom instruction and Structured On-The-Job-Training. The objective of training is to provide the necessary skills to independently maintain the RSAF F-15, at the Organizational Level of maintenance. We are expanding this to include Back Shop.
Duties:
Duties And Responsibilities:
• Prepares Aircraft Sheet Metal Layouts And Designs Templates:
- Works from drawings, identical parts or from brief statements of general requirements.
- Marks sheet metal for cutting, drilling, bending and trimming, making proper allowance for forming operations such as bends, joggles and beading.
- Designs, cuts, drills and trims to close tolerance, full size master production templates.
- Scribes and stamps size and location of holes, bend lines, outline and other working detail.
- Measures wear of templates to determine accuracy after repeated use.
• Performs Aircraft Sheet Metal Forming Operations And Designs Forming DDZS:
- Sets up, adjusts and operates various types of powered hand-operated forming equipment.
- Determines need for heat-treating before and during forming operations.
- Inspects formed parts for flaws.
- Smooths small wrinkles with smoothing or power planning hammer and trims to correct dimensions.
- Takes measurements for original part of drawing and determines detail for forming dies.
- Determines need for repair or modification of die.
• Designs, Directs And Performs The Repair Of Bonded F-15 Structures:
- Inspects area to determine proper repair procedures.
- Advises personnel of proper repair techniques to use during repair operations.
- Inspects completed repairs for void and de-laminated areas.
- Designs and constructs special holders and fixtures for tear down of assemblies.
- Removes damaged skin, core and old adhesive.
- Fabricates core and skin to assembly,
- Cleans fabricated repair parts.
- Lays up and bonds structures by means for heating and pressure application assemblies.
- Cures, trims and inspects bonded structures.
• Troubleshoots Aircraft Structural Inspection And Repair Situations.
- Inspects damaged aircraft to determine economy and practicability of repair.
- Plans repair details as required.
- Removes damaged parts and sections, using hand and powered drilling and cutting tools.
- Fastens major replacement or reinforcing parts in place.
- Maintains alignment or repair parts and aircraft components during repairs.
- Performs alignment checks of aircraft primary structures.
• Performs Inspections:
- Inspects fabricated and repaired work items during progress and upon completion of work to determine quality of workmanship, compliance with technical publications and completeness of work.
- Compares work items with drawings or specifications and inspects for proper spacing, type and heading of rivets, using precision measuring tools such as scale, plain and vernier calipers, protractor and contour templates.
- Indicates conditions or status of inspected items, using inspection stamp or tag.
- Coordinates rework requirements or rejections.
- Reviews maintenance forms, records and reports to ensure complete documentation according to directives. F-15 SOW Contractor Trainers
- Prepares list of work requirements and estimates man-hours.
• Designs, Directs And Fabricates Aircraft Flexible Control Cables.
- Designs, fabricates and inspects completed flexible control cables.
- Determines working length, cuts cable and machine swage fitting to cables.
- Tests tensile strength of cable assemblies and compares finished lengths with specifications.
• Designs, Directs And Fabricates Aircraft Tubing Assemblies:
- Designs, fabricates and inspects completed aircraft tubing assemblies.
- Selects tubing materials, cuts, bends and trims tubing assemblies to correct length and attached required hardware.
- Cleans and temporarily seals fabricated tubing assemblies.
- Ensures finished assemblies are in compliance with specifications.
• Performs Aircraft Wash Rack Functions:
- Mixes and applies detergents and other cleaning material.
- Operates cleaning equipment.
- Maintains aircraft wash rack equipment.
- Requisitions, stores and maintains operational levels of supplies.
• Performs Technical Corrosion Control Functions:
- Identifies type corrosion and type metal corroded.
- Removes corrosion using chemical and mechanical techniques.
- Performs metal etching.
- Applies primer and surface coats.
- Uses corrosion detection, measuring, metal identification and special cleaning, treatment and application equipment.
- Mixes/blends special cleaning and protective materials.
