Description:
Providing assistance to the Manager, Internal Compliance through coordinating financial activities and practices including formulating the financial systems and plans and establishing the major economic and financial objectives.
Duties:
• Ensuring that accounting systems, information, pricing, and reporting of contracts governed by US Government procurement and accounting regulations (the "Regulations") are in compliance with the requirements of those regulations.
• Preparing invoices to be submitted to the customer, reviewing accuracy, validity of charges, and make required corrections to ensure that invoices for contracts governed by Regulations are prepared and submitted according to contractual terms and conditions and comply with Regulations.
• Maintaining files of documentary evidence of the validity charges included in invoices.
• Maintaining contract invoicing information on a continuing basis so that management is continually updated on the contract to date position.
• Reviewing for accuracy program costs, including reimbursable costs, and inform program management of opportunities to reduce costs and improve cost effectiveness.
• Conducting the detailed analysis of program costs.
• Reconciling on monthly basis the billed and unbilled receivable accounts for the program.
• Following up as necessary on overdue payments from the Customer.
• Assisting in providing data for cost analysis of contract proposals.
• Assisting in preparation of schedules as requested for DCAA and other audits, providing information requested by auditors, reviewing findings and brief management on any problems or issues that cannot be resolved directly with auditor.
Qualifications:
B.A. Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting, Internal Compliance, or similar fields.
